Fifth Grade Awards Celebration
YOU ARE INVITED TO THE FIFTH GRADE AWARDS CELEBRATION
WHEN: Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 1:30 PM (Please begin arriving at 1:15. The program will begin promptly at 1:30. Sign in at the office upon arrival.)
WHERE: Violet Elementary Gym
WHY: To celebrate the achievements of the Violet Elementary fifth grade students.
The 5th grade students will be processing through the school following the ceremony. We are asking you to stay and join us for that as well. We hope to see you at this special event!
*We do not have a specific number of guests set for each child to bring and will have as many chairs as possible set up in the gym. If there are more guests than chairs, we ask that additional guests stand in the back of the gym.

Home-School Connection
Please feel free to contact us directly with your concerns about your child assignments(in class or at home), projects, assessments, and overall academic progress. The best way have these conversations with us are through a telephone call, an email, or a scheduled face-to-face appointments. You can always send in a note for your fifth grader to deliver to us for those quick questions. While the last weeks of fifth grade will contain many fun events, we are still very much academically driven! Our goal is to cover fifth grade curriculum to the fullest extent! Thank you for your continued support. The home-school connection is an important piece of your child's academic success! Thank you!

May 2: Spirit Day
May 9: Half day of school
May 15: Gadget Works Virtual Field Trip
May 18: Violet Elementary trip to KMS from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. (*new date)
May 22: KMS Parent Meeting from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
May 23: Half day of school
May 25: Half day of school
May 28: No school
May 31: Field trip to Greenfield Village Permission Slip sent home on 4/20/12 *see permission slip file below*
